Eat Sushi Daily

Daily Sushi Japanese Restaurant
20 Carlton Street (at Yonge)
Toronto, ON
M5B 2H5
(416) 977-4333

4.5 Stars
Dinner for 2 $30.00

Daily Sushi is the place that makes you want to eat sushi daily! And as a matter of fact there have been many weeks where I believe I did eat there at least 4-5 times a week. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The quality of the food is outstanding, the fish is always fresh, the service is excellent, the restaurant has a nice smell and doesn't smell like not fresh fish the way many other sushi places do, and with their new menu there is a ridiculous amount of variety that you could get something new every time you go and it's bound to be delicious!

The restaurant itself is very calming with it's simple furniture and design. Nothing fancy here just straight up good food and even better prices! If you're in the mood for planting yourself on the couch, they deliver - fast and efficient, and if you order enough they'll usually throw something in on the house, like spring rolls or edamame. Or you can always choose the pick up option where you receive 10% off the cost of the meal. It's a pretty great deal!

Here are a few of my favourite dishes:

Salmon Sushi Pizza: crispy sushi rice base topped with green onions, tobiko and special sauce topped with salmon.
BC roll: salmon, avocado, green onions and tobiko *ask them to add a bit of spicy mayo and tempura batter!
Pan fried Udon noodles: Thick noodles with vegetables. Choice of chicken or beef and vegetables.

Samosa and the City

Tandoori House Restaurant
4862 Yonge Street (at Sheppard)
North York, ON
M2N 5N2
(416) 733-2283

5 Stars
Dinner for 2 $45.00

There is no greater Indian restaurant in the GTA than Tandoori House. Period. I could stop writing right now and leave it as that. But since that would be boring, I'll expand a little. Tandoori House is also my favourite restaurant in the GTA. They make the best samosa's hands down that I've ever tried. The nan is cooked through a viewing window so you can see how they prepare it. The aroma of the Tandoori Chicken as it passes by you to the next table is like heaven on a skillit. The service is wonderful and friendly. The only thing I don't like about this restaurant is the bathroom is downstairs, and after eating excessive amounts of food, the idea of walking down the stairs is terrible! They also have buffet, although I have to say it's not my favourite, but I have yet to ever find buffet that I think is fantastic. All in all, Tandoori House really hits the spot when you're in need of a tasty delicious meal. They have a great variety of items from beginner Indian food like butter chicken, to shed a tear spicy chicken madras.

Here are a few of my favourite dishes:

Vegetable Samosas: Deep fried patties stuffed with potatoes and green peas.
Lamb Palak: Lamb cooked with fresh spinach and spices.
Kofta Birbali: Potato and cottage cheese dumplings stuffed with vegetables, chutney and nut, simmered in a curry sauce.
Gulab Jambu: Cheese balls made with dry milk and homemade fresh cheese, deep fried and dipped In syrup, served warm with rose water.

Food is Love.

My name is Jodi. I am 29 years old, and I am a foodaholic. In other words, if I had a penis, food would give me an erection. There isn't anything in this world that I enjoy more than delicious, beautiful, sensual, fun, and sexy food. I love to cook, but what I love more than that, is not to cook. When someone cooks for me, and I get to enjoy delicious cuisine as well as the sweet taste of not having to spend an hour or more preparing the food, I am like a pig in shit.

I'm the girl that people go to when they want something great in a totally random part of town they don't know. I live and have grown up in the Greater Toronto Area and have spent quite a bit of time travelling around the city and around the world for fun and work, so I'm the one to go to when you want to know where to find fantastic food!

So this little space of mine, is all about eating food, and the best places in the city to get what you want.

Food is Love.
